Master A.K. Geelani, 7th Degree Dan - Chief Instructor
Education: Kanazawa Shotkan Club, Jersuleum, received up to his to 3rd degree Black Belt. Acheieved 4th and 5th Dan in the USA under Kiyoshi Yamazaki. Received 6th and 7th degree Dan from the late Grand Master Hanchi George Anderson, father of karate in the United States and the United States Karate Federation.
Specializing in traditional Japanese Karate Do style Shotokan and Shito-Ryu. Certified Referee in the World Karate Federation. Internationally trained under such Martial Arts Instructors as Mario Higaonna, Hayashi Shito-Ryu, Kanazawa Shotokan, Fumio Demura, Tanashio Oshiro, Oyata Tuite, and Hideharu just to name a few. Numerous students of Master Geelani at Japan Karate Academy have achieved state, local, national and international titles as well as qualifying and competing in the Junior Olympics and representing the American team at International Events.
Master Geelani has personally attained numerous titles at State, National and International levels in Kumite and Weapons. Awarded instructor of the year 2003 by Shihan George Anderson and the United States Karate Federation. Inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2003.
